The J325 is a double insulated, re-enterable gel joint, designed to make inline connections of 0.6/1 kV three-core cables using the included three-core connector.
Thanks to a compact design and IP68 protection rating, it is ideal for submerged, buried or weather-exposed environments, with no need for cable glands.
The self-extinguishing polypropylene (PP V2) casing houses a non-toxic, halogen-free, non-expiring silicone gel, which guarantees high dielectric rigidity and moisture protection.

The J325 is suitable for which types of cables?
The J325 is designed for in-line connections of 0.6/1 kV three-core cables using the supplied three-core connector.
In particular: maximum number of conductors passing through = 3; typical conductor cross-section 1.5-2.5 mm² for the standard model.
What are the environmental conditions of use and the main materials of the joint?
The casing is made of PP V2 (flame-retardant polypropylene) and the insulating gel is silicone-based, non-toxic, halogen-free, and has no expiration date.
The operating temperature range is from -20 °C to +90 °C.
The degree of protection is IP68, suitable for underground, submerged, or high humidity environments.
What are the physical dimensions and mounting features to consider?
For the J325 model, the dimensions are indicated as “A = 113 mm, B = 25.50 mm” in the price list.
A single kit with a three-pin connector included is provided, to simplify installation.
What is the typical lifespan of gel and of joint sealant?
The gel has no expiry date and maintains its dielectric and mechanical properties even after years of use.
The self-extinguishing PP V2 casing is resistant to UV rays, chemicals, and thermal stress from -20 °C to +90 °C.
Is it available in other sizes or versions?
Yes. The Contact Italia range includes gel-filled connectors for different cable cross-sections and connection types (in-line, branch, multi-core).
The J325 is the standard model for three-core cables up to 35 mm².

How to manage the end of the product's life? Is it recyclable?
Yes. The PP shell is fully recyclable. The silicone gel is inert and non-toxic, it can be disposed of as non-hazardous waste in accordance with RoHS 3 legislation.
